Specialty Coating Systems

PrecisionCoat VI

The SCS PrecisionCoat VI provides more than a dependable layer of protection, it is a total system solution that ensures accuracy, repeatability and high throughput for a wide range of automated material application, all in a smaller footprint to maximize valuable production floor space.

The SCS PrecisionCoat VI selective conformal coating and dispense system is a fully programmable, multi-purpose system that offers unparalleled programming for efficiency in automated material applications. SCS customers rely on the PrecisionCoat to precisely apply a wide range of materials, including 100% solids, solvent-based and water-based coatings.

Conformal Coating Applications: The PrecisionCoat VI offers numerous spray and dispense valves that apply a wide range of conformal coating materials such as silicones, acrylics, urethanes, epoxies and other materials.

Dispense Applications: Multi-valve technologies on the PrecisionCoat VI enable the application of dots, lines, fills and glob-tops, all with a single system.

Potting Applications: The PrecisionCoat VI potting platform dispenses silicones, epoxies, urethanes, etc. to seal, stabilize and/or protect applications from shock, vibration, moisture or corrosion.

PrecisionCoat BT

Designed for companies looking to automate their time-intensive manual coating and dispensing processes, or those who would like to have additional coating capacity in their laboratory or on their production floor.

The PrecisionCoat BT applies materials via configurable conformal coating and/or dispense valves (up to two) that move along three axes (x, y and z) with a command accuracy of ±0.0001 inch (0.003 mm) and ±0.003 inch (0.08 mm) repeatability.

PrecisionCure UVC (MUV)

The SCS PrecisionCure UVC microwave UV curing system provides customers with unmatched flexibility. This new, innovative curing system features programmable curing profiles and the smallest footprint in the industry to maximize valuable production floor space.

The SCS PrecisionCure UVC (MUV) system utilizes Heraeus Noblelight® microwave-activated UV lamps, the industry standard in microwave UV curing technology.

Available in single, double and triple lamp configurations, the PrecisionCure UVC (MUV) can operate as a stand-alone machine or as a compliment to the SCS PrecisionCoat selective conformal coating and dispense system.

Precision UVC (UV Cure)

The SCS Precision UVC offers full-spectrum UV curing in perfect integration with the SCS PrecisionCoat.

When materials require UV curing, manufacturers turn to the SCS Precision UVC as a reliable, robust staple in their production line. When mated with the SCS PrecisionCoat, components move from coating to curing automatically, with the UV cure process being controlled by proprietary software through the coating system. The Precision UVC can also be controlled by a computer, independent of a coater, for manufacturer’s convenience.

The Precision UVC has a full spectrum mercury UV source with three intensity settings and covers a cure zone 24 inches wide at an intensity of 300 W/in, making it ideal to cure a wide variety of materials, including inks, solder masks and other coatings.

Ionograph® SMD V

The SCS Ionograph® is the industry standard for ionic contamination testing specified in commonly used cleaning standards. Using the “dynamic” testing method, this line gives you a reliable testing solution at an affordable price. Plus, the SCS Ionograph series is available in four newly redesigned models – the Ionograph SMD V and bench top modules for small, standard and large parts — all operated by our advanced SCS PowerView™ software.

SCS Ionographs offer customers reliable and efficient testing capabilities, including:

  • Compliance with industry specifications including MIL-STD-2000A, IPC-TM-650 and ANSI/J-STD-001
  • Control of aqueous and semi-aqueous cleaning processes for bare and assembled printed circuit boards
  • Control of both the cleaning and the no-clean processes
  • Testing to prevent corrosion or product performance problems associated with ionic contamination
  • Cleanliness testing of performance-sensitive small parts
  • Cleanliness testing of cleanroom specific products such as gloves, fixtures, assembly tools and critical assembly components used in precise manufacturing
  • Process control of no clean/low residue processes, including spray fluxer set up and monitoring
